Brian Kibble Replies: The building in The Nook (near) you refer to was originally built in the 1870’s for Burton and Stone boot and shoe factory – the machinery was driven by a steam engine in the yard outside – see the tall chimney attached to the engine in the pix. The building was subsequently occupied by Norwood Press in the 1990’s and now partly by Bradgate Brides and the office letting company
