Safeguarding Policy
Policy Document Date — October 2025
1. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to define how Anstey Local History Society operates to protect our members and volunteers from risk of harm.
We recognise we have a duty of care and we are committed to the protection and safety of everyone who comes in to contact with our society, including our members, volunteers, and members of the public.
This policy is a core part of our committee responsibilities and priorities. This includes ensuring that we provide a safe environment for holding meetings and events.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. For our safeguarding policy to be effective every committee member and volunteer will know and play their part in keeping people safe.
